Teaching is a sacred honor and it implies you have something to teach and you have a place, and people who are open. These are not trivial issues, as you know, and it takes effort and sincere self-development to get to these places.
Teach has progress and growth built into it. It shows you and the world you are growing and challenging yourself to be better and do better. Teaching has rejection and dissonance written all over it. Teaching requires patience and understanding. Teaching has the difficult aspect of dealing with people’s hard fought belief systems and existing structures which are very hard to shift and dislodge, if you even want to do it.
Teaching has the gift of learning built into it. Teaching helps you to learn what you don’t know about others and how they learn. Teaching helps you to empathize and look at life through the eyes of those who have gone before.
Teaching is a cumulative effort of the past and the collaborative effort of those who are willing to join you in the present. Teaching helps others, if done well, but mostly it helps those who teach to see life differently and to find new insights to share as a part of the learning and collaboration ensuing.
Teaching is the calling of the inquisitive and the persistent. Teaching happens in the most unusual and interesting places. Teaching always has a new look and always looks new. Teaching is the pinnacle of challenge and the most difficult you can find when you do it with sincerity and living what you teach.
I have been struggling with losing myself in the expectations and disappointments of those around me. It is something I have done all my life. It is a choice I make and I am shifting. Isn’t this great advice?
The choices you have are endless. You can choose to come here or not. You can choose to ignore the ideas or not. You can be with Us or be somewhere else. It is all there for you to discover and enjoy.
Guilt is not productive for you because it keeps you in the past and worrying about what others think. When you live for others and only focus on what they have for you, you are lost in the concerns around you. Even when you worry about what We think about you or what you are not doing for Us, you are lost in the ideas of worry about issues outside of yourself.
You cannot be healthy and focus on what others want from you. What they teach you and what you can learn from others is substantial and important for your growth, but obsessing on what you are “not” or what you are not doing based on others’ assessments, will keep you wandering around and confused.
You become powerful when you find the area of passion you have and what you want to be and then pursue those directions. You find new ways of being because you concentrate on becoming the person you like to be and use the ideas of others to help you excel beyond what you are doing by yourself.
You find your purpose and meaning by going after the areas of life you enjoy and are fulfilled by. Then when you give up your body to the earth, you will have lived as you wanted to and in ways that are genuine and authentic.
Go away from the externals and back to the internal impulses. They are always more true and able to inspire and lift you.
Generosity is a very important trait. It is nice to be generous. It is fun to be generous. Generous people often get generosity poured into their lives from unknown sources and they can, in return, be even more generous.
Generosity is a quality of your soul. Giving and giving freely is a very basic characteristic of who you are. Giving is what you are made for and giving often fills your own well with abilities to give more.
When you give generously, you feel better. When you give without interest in what you get back, you have even more fun. When you give without wanting a thank you or without any expectations, you find more joy in life and in giving.
Think what you have been given. You have life and abundance. Think what you are receiving daily in the way of love and information. Think how you are given to in innumerable ways and you will see how the Universe is.
When you emulate your situation and give freely to others, you have many opportunities come your way. You can realize the depth of giving to you and realize just how much you have to give. You can give endlessly without running out of gifts. You can give until it feels like there is no more to give and yet you can.
